Cancellation and Refund Policy

Required before launch: replace REPLACE_LEGAL_NAME and REPLACE_SUPPORT_EMAIL. Confirm this policy with a lawyer for every sales market and configure Stripe Checkout consistently.

1. Cancelling renewal

Users can cancel a monthly or annual subscription through Profile → Manage Billing, which opens the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation stops future renewal. Unless applicable law or a refund decision requires otherwise, Pro access continues until the end of the already-paid billing period.

2. Refund requests

Send refund requests to REPLACE_SUPPORT_EMAIL from the account email and include the approximate payment date and reason. Do not email full card details. Requests are assessed promptly and fairly under applicable law and this policy.

4. Change-of-mind and digital-service rights

Some jurisdictions provide a cooling-off or withdrawal period for online services. Those rights and any exception for services that begin immediately vary by location and by the consent collected at checkout. Nothing in this policy removes mandatory statutory rights. LanguageStride must not rely on a withdrawal-right exception unless the checkout flow has collected the legally required request and acknowledgement.

5. Requests normally not eligible outside mandatory rights

A refund may be declined where the subscription operated as described, the request concerns ordinary change of mind after substantial use, the user forgot to cancel before a clearly disclosed renewal, or access was restricted because of serious abuse or fraud. Each case remains subject to applicable law.

6. Processing

Approved refunds are returned through Stripe to the original payment method. Bank or card-network processing times are outside LanguageStride’s control. Cancelling a subscription and issuing a refund are separate actions; users should verify both outcomes.

7. Chargebacks

Contact support first where possible so a billing issue can be investigated. Fraudulent or abusive disputes may lead to account restriction, but users retain all lawful rights to dispute an unauthorised or incorrect charge.
